Welcome to BNSF Credit Union
BNSF Credit Union is a not- for- profit financial cooperative, owned and controlled by the people who uses our services. These people are members and with a $25 membership fee own a share in the credit union. With this share members are entitled to vote at the annual meeting.
For over 54 years BNSF Credit Union has proudly served the financial needs of its members by providing affordable products and services. Our name honors our proud railroad heritage. The credit union’s history proves that we have created a solid foundation for greater diversity and continued growth. The stronger our credit union becomes, the more value and affordability our members will enjoy.

Who can join?
The following are eligible for membership upon approval.
Anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school and businesses located within a 10 mile radius of BNSF Credit Union Amarillo, Texas
Any employee of any sponsors (employers, companies, or associations) listed in the current field of membership.
Employees of BNSF Credit Union
Employees of BNSF Railroad
Employees of Plains Dairy and distributors of Plains Dairy Inc.
Former and retired employees of Rock Island Lines of Texas known as the Southern Division of Texas and Missouri-Kansas Division of Texas.
Retired employees of BNSF RailRoad
Retired employees of Plains Dairy
Any family member of a member is eligible
Account Security
Like other financial institutions, BNSF Credit Union is closely regulated. The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, administered by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government, insures deposits of credit union members up to $250,000. Recent legislation increased the insurance coverage on aggregate balances of certain retirement accounts, such as IRAs and Keoghs, up to $250,000.
Protect Yourself From Fraud
BNSF Credit Union does not solicit personal or private information via e-mail. If you are ever contacted by e-mail posing as BNSF Credit Union or any Credit Union organization and ask to respond with your personal information, contact the Credit Union by telephone immediately. 806 358 7109 or 888 362 2673. Remember: Do not give out any information to any source you do not know. There is a type of Internet piracy called "phishing". It's pronounced "fishing" and that's exactly what these thieves are doing: "fishing" for your personal financial information. What they want are account numbers and other confidential information they can use to loot your checking account or run up bills on your credit cards.

By pooling the resources of individuals who save and borrow money at the credit union and carefully controlling operating expenses we are able to offer very competitive dividend and loan rates.
